Our Forum Rules
We ask that you observe a few rules and guidelines during your use of the forum.
Site administrators will attempt to keep all objectionable material off the forum, but it is not possible for us to review every message. All messages are the views of the author. NFIB and it’s administrators will not be held responsible for the content of any message. We reserve the right to remove any post or topic from the forum, or to cancel member access where required. Members who breach a guideline will be cautioned and asked not to do it again. Any member who repeatedly or deliberately breaks the rules will be blacklisted and banned from future use.
Trolling
Internet Trolls are people that browse the internet and provoke discussion. Our security system should prevent trolls accessing this forum, but if you notice suspect postings, please don't respond to them, but contact our Forum Administrator immediately.
Respect for the Administrators
Our administrators aim to develop and encourage a friendly and helpful community. The forum administrator’s decisions are final, and no correspondence about moderation decisions will be entered into. Contrary to popular belief, we are human and do have a sense of humour, but we have a job to do and our decisions are final and not subject to appeal or discussion. If you don't like our rules or our administrators, don't use our forum!
Advertising
We are not here as a platform for advertising your store, product or commercial website. We ask that you do not advertise on this forum. Anyone found to be doing so will have the advertising removed without warning.
Abusive Behaviour
There's no need to be abusive towards other members on the forum. If you have a problem with a post please email the Webmaster, and do not respond to the post. Any user engaging in foul language, abuse, insult (including by innuendo), racism, sexist comments, or other prejudicial remarks will be banned from further use and their postings deleted.
Offensive Content
NFIB has a varied member base. Please do not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. By all means contact us to vet content before posting if you are unsure whether it falls under these rules or not.
Copyright
Copyright laws are very strict, and web sites have been shut down for minor infringements. Please ensure you have permission before posting copyrighted material.
Keep Threads on Topic
Please keep threads on-topic as much as possible. Take part in discussions by all means, but if whatever you're saying is either unrelated to the topic, or something that really does not need to be said, then it's best not to say it!
Grammar & Spelling
Please try to use correct grammar and spelling. Posts with unnecessarily poor grammar, spelling or any text language be removed. We want to keep the forum tidy, and attract interesting members with equally interesting topics. Often, due to the nature of the forums, English may not be the first language for all members - so poor, non-Standard English will confuse things.
Be polite!
Treat others as you'd wish to be treated yourself.
Explain yourself and make the post easy to understand
We all want to help each other out here and have great discussions, and this can only be done if your post is easy to read, and includes a lot of information.
